Wok Mas Go Yet - Progress Update on McLellan Community Centre

Wok mas go yet - The work must continue!

We are excited to share a progress update with you on the McLellan Community Centre in Yamen.

Our team has been making good progress, despite increasing difficulties in transporting supplies to the village. El Nino conditions mean that a journey that was previously 4-5 hours by boat is now around 10 hours long, with the team needing to push the boat part of the way. Fortunately, most construction supplies have already been taken to Yamen.

The building’s internal walls have been painted white, and are now being drilled into the iron posts of the structure. The team has constructed windows, fitted them with fly wire and security wire, and installed them on the building. The floor has also been sanded.

We are grateful for everyone involved in getting the McLellan Community Centre close to completion. In fact, the building is completed enough that we are able to use it for the training we are running in Yamen this October!

Thank you for your support!
