Water Tank (Holiday Card)
In the Greater Sepik region of Papua New Guinea, many families have never had the opportunity to access basic health education, and frequently become ill with life-threatening diseases. Without education and access to a solution, many were drinking from the same river they washed their clothes and bodies in. Water tanks allow for the collection, storage and use of clean rain water. We have taught communities to construct gutters out of roofing iron and PVC pipe, enabling the water to flow into the tank. Your gift will provide a water tank and rainwater collection materials to service 10 families, enabling them to drink and wash their hands with clean water.
